If you are looking for a cafe to spend a quite afternoon at, Pillow Cafe (RuiAn branch) will serve that purpose perfectly. It is the kind of place where you can get some work done (free WiFi and electrical outputs in abundance), while sipping on your coffee/tea and even enjoy a simple light meal or dessert when you feel like it.
I ordered the Montreal Chicken panini (170 NTD), which was tasty and portion wise enough for a light lunch. The Doritos chips were perfect as a salty snack afterwards.
My friend ordered the Banana with chocolate waffle (150 NTD). Quite basic, but enjoyable. It came with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and a couple of marshmallows.

Overall, it is a nice cafe to spend a quiet afternoon at. (And get some work done if you have to!)

Miss V Bakery Cafe

No.22, Lane 49, Chifeng street, Taipei
台北市大同區赤峰街49巷22號
Tuesday - Sunday:  11:30 - 21:00
Monday: Closed
MRT: Shuanglian or Zhongshan
Miss V Bakery Cafe is located between Shuanglian MRT and Zhongshan MRT. Although the cafe is very popular (especially on weekends), it has very cozy, warm, clean and comfortable vibe, which makes you feel calm the moment you walk in.

If you go earlier in the day, you can choose from a large variety of sweet and salty desserts. Unfortunately, we visited this cafe like an hour before closing time, so as you can see in the photo, most of the desserts on the counter were pretty much sold out. I will definitely make sure to go earlier in the afternoon next time!
Nevertheless, I was craving for some dessert after dinner, so we ordered a slice of cheesecake and a hot milk tea to go with it.
The cheesecake was delicious, creamy and not to sweet and the hot milk tea was good as well.
I wonder how the cinnamon rolls are, maybe will give it a try some day.

Miss V Bakery Cafe is also a great place to go for "real food", as they also serve breakfast, brunch, lunch sets, and all kinds of sandwiches as well. I didn't take a photo of the menu, but you check out their FB link on top of this post. Can't wait to try it out next time! Will keep you folk posted!
