Taipei Garden Cafe

Taipei Garden Cafe (天成大飯世貿會館)
1F, No. 1, Section 5, Xinyi Road, Taipei
台北市信義區信義路五段1號1樓 (TICC台北國際會議中心內)
09:00 - 18:00
Lunch: 11:30 - 14:30 (last order at 14:00)
Afternoon tea: 14:30 - 18:30 (last order at 18:00)

From left to right:
1. New Orland smoked chicken
2. French ham sandwich
3. Strawberry jam crepe
4. Sunshin scallion waffle
The Sunshin scallion waffles were delicious, especially dipped in the (sherry vinegar mayonnaise) cream sauce that came with it. The waffles were salty and tasted like a mix of green onion pancakes (蔥油餅) and Shandong cake waffles (山東大餅). They taste the best when still warm. Yummy!
The second dish that came to our table was the French ham sandwich. Actually we ordered the French tuna sandwich, but apparently the waiter messed up the order and gave us the French ham sandwich. The sandwich came straight out of the oven and was filled with ham and an overload of warm melted cheese...Mmmmm! After tasting the salty and warm dishes, it was time to try the cold and sweet dishes.
The crepes of both of the New Orland smoked chicken and the strawberry jam were cold. Although they were still a bit crispy and hard, we were a bit disappointed. The smoked chicken was mixed with some greens and bell peppers and wasn't very special.
The strawberry jam was home-made jam, which was nice, but we still thought the crepe itself was kinda blah. So if you haven't been here yet and you are planning on visiting, my recommendation would be the Sunshin scallion waffles and the French sandwich.
